Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out rules for using Drivano's software, introduction, contracting, compliance-record, and payment workflows. It does not make Drivano a party to a Hirer-Contractor engagement.

2. Permitted Use

You may use our platform to:

  • Browse and apply for HGV shift opportunities (Contractors)
  • Post shift requirements and manage Contractor bookings (Hirers)
  • Submit timesheets and manage payment records
  • Upload and manage compliance documents
  • Communicate with Hirers or Contractors regarding shifts
  • Access reports and analytics related to your account

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not use our platform to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Upload forged, fake, or invalid documents
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent platform security measures
  • Use Platform-sourced contact or profile data to conceal a booking, extension, repeat booking, or replacement assignment that the Hirer Terms require to be recorded
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Misrepresent the true working arrangement, employment status, tax treatment, or identity of a party
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or other users' access
  • Scrape, collect, or harvest user data without authorization
  • Use automated tools to access the platform without permission

4. Contractor-Specific Rules

Contractors must:

  • Maintain valid HGV licences and required qualifications
  • Upload genuine, unaltered compliance documents
  • Provide accurate information about skills and experience
  • Honor shift commitments or provide timely cancellation notice
  • Submit accurate timesheets reflecting actual hours worked
  • Comply with lawful Hirer instructions, road law, safety requirements, and site rules during shifts
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly

5. Hirer-Specific Rules

Hirers must:

  • Post accurate shift details including rates, location, and requirements
  • Maintain all insurance required for their operation and the shift, including employer's liability insurance where applicable
  • Provide a safe working environment for Contractors
  • Pay approved, undisputed Contractor invoices directly according to the accepted assignment and invoice terms
  • Review and respond to timesheets within the specified deadlines
  • Not discriminate against drivers unlawfully
  • Make and record any employment-status, worker-status, PAYE, National Insurance, or off-payroll determination the law requires
  • Comply with all applicable road transport, operator-licensing, working-time, equality, and health and safety laws

6. Content Standards

All content uploaded to or shared through the platform must:

  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Not contain offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate material
  • Not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Comply with all applicable laws

7. Enforcement

We may take the following actions if you breach this Policy:

  • Issue a warning
  • Temporarily suspend your account
  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Remove content that violates this Policy
  • Report serious violations to relevant authorities
  • Take legal action to recover damages

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
